ohwells. this is the final year paper for this yr. wasnt that fantastic lah but i spent alot of time on it lor. the question was ; vegetables&tools then suddenly TG says that e manupulation cannot so i had t change e whole thing into graphic-like.(fig 5) then in e end had t draw even during chem lesson. heh.

hehe. this is my hinduism proj that is suppose t be my final year paper 1 but apparently in the end TG never grade it. uhmm.. was about t dismantle it alr.meaning cut out all e pictures and stuff so i go take pic of it before i tear them apart :D hees ..

haha.went searching for some inspirations ystd and found out some really nice websites that are really very interesting. lols: got this OXCUBE website which has really nice works of tht artist. then got this DESIGNPARK one which is uber uber nice but too bad i cant understand e language so just anyhw click. : ) LOLS. and there's this one more webbie that sounds really gross ORANGE22 but their furnitures are so special and damn expensive. smth like philippe starck's.

omg. this chair above actually cost a whooping US$12000

Girl With Fan

did this during june hols.. tht is like 6months ago. haha. actually TG came up with the theme and asked all of us t think of wht t draw and paint la. hums. but anyw.my alignment of paint is like crooked.HAHS.and i found this in the "trash" in the artroom laa. hmms. den i brought it home.the greeny thing looks like aloe vera but it's not laa.suppose t be some kinda design. and i also did 2 other works based on this theme but apparently dunno where TG put them. maybe they're really inside the trash : )

aye.the title of this sucks. ''The Adoration of the Golden Calf' by Nicolas Poussin

haha. this piece very interesting. In the Hebrew Bible, the golden calf was an idol made by Aaron for the Israelites during Moses's unexpectedly long absence. then it's like wrong for christians to have any idols la. but Aaron(Moses's Brother) had gathered up the Israelites' golden earrings. He melted them and constructed the golden calf and the people even worshipped it with song and dance. On his return, Moses was so angered by this that he smashed the tablets .

what is so special about this painting is that the painting tells a story cuz at the left hand side of the painting the 2 dark figures are moses and his friends returning from their trip to Mt Sinai and later those people (at the top right hand corner) who saw them had on shocked expressions while those (bottom left and right) people who have not seen them continued to dance and sing unaware of the seriousness of what they have done.

special techniques: The even distribution of blue, red and orange throughout the painting helps to unify the composition as a whole, but colour, for example the white of Aaron's cloak, is also used to isolate individual figures. Poussin also used emphatic gestures in order to tell the story.

MUSIC MAKES ME LOSE CONTROL

this one i just finished painting..hmms. wanted t create that kind of explosive thingy that u feel when u listen to music but apparently it failed that purpose. :D hees. the red thing at the bottom left is actually a speaker. those kind found in ur CD player. acks. after painting den i realised the style of painting is just like carroll dunham's one. but its not intentional. hums. comments yea :D

haha. this work by artemisia gentileschi is damn cool right.

the story goes like this:

The Jewish town of Bethulia was under siege by the Assyrian army and its general, Holofernes. When the residents were at the brink of capitulation, a beautiful widow, Judith devised a scheme for their deliverance. Dressing in her finest clothes, Judith left Bethulia with her maid and entered the Assyrian camp as an ostensible deserter. Holofernes found her a welcome addition to his camp, as much for her beauty as for her veiled promise to assist in the defeat of the Jews. After a banquet, at which Holofernes became drunk, the general lured the beautiful widow into his tent. He quickly fell asleep, however, and Judith seized the opportunity to cut off his head with his own sword. Together with her maid, who stuffed Holofernes' head into a bag, Judith stole back to Bethulia. Once apprised of Judith's heroic act, the Bethulian soldiers charged from the city and defeated the Assyrian army.
